Content: A review of the previous articles, their analyses of and views on the Middle Eastern stability concerns. The conclusion is drawn that stable security structures have to be built before a change from geopolitics to geoeconomics - as is taking place on a global level - can be achieved in the Middle East. As tensions and mistrust among the Middle Eastern countries still prevail the building of stable security structures however remains a future task. Thus, the article suggests, the visions of a new Middle East evoked by the peace process should be replaced by a more realistic approach. First of all low profile politics should be strengthened in order for confidence building to take place among the Middle Eastern countries. (DÜI-Mjr)
