Acht Jahre aus dem Leben einer Frau, die mit ihrem konsequent selbstbestimmten Leben und Schreiben provozierte, zeichnet Beate Rygiert (z.B. "Herzensräuber", ID-A 32/17) bildhaft und spannend nach: 1831 kommt Aurore Dudevand nach Paris, weg vom ungeliebten Ehemann, ohne ihre kleinen Kinder. Sie näht sich Männerkleider, schreibt für Le Figaro, verfasst mit ihrem jüngeren Freund einen Roman. Fortan schreibt sie allein, wird George Sand. Sie ist inmitten der französischen Boheme zu erleben u.a. mit Balzac, Heine, Hugo, Liszt, als leidenschaftliche Geliebte von Alfred de Musset und Frédéric Chopin, während des gemeinsamen Mallorca-Aufenthalts unter widrigen Umständen. Sie ist Mutter und Versorgerin, die Anwesen und auch den geschiedenen Mann unterhalten muss. Ihr Schreiben ist dabei Berufung und notwendiger Broterwerb. Das Buch ähnelt der losen, am Frauenlesegeschmack orientierten Reihe des Verlages "Mutige Frauen zwischen Kunst und Liebe" (zuletzt C. Bernard: "Frida Kahlo ...", ID-A 44/19). Gute, fesselnde Unterhaltung, die zur Weiterbeschäftigung mit dieser faszinierenden, mutigen Frau (1804-1876) anregt. [Eleonore Gottelt]
