Dank kurzer Einleitung funktionieren die Folgebände auch unabhängig von Band 1. Die Jugendlichen Tom und Stella befinden sich allein mit der Roboterkatze Plutinchen auf der Raumstation Space Camp 1, als ein neues Raumschiff mit dem Frachttransporter angeliefert wird. Die Freunde erkunden das supermoderne Gefährt, als ihr alter Schulfreund Daniel von der Erde anruft. Zwar erkennen Tom und Stella schnell, dass Daniel nur eine Sonnenfinsternis beunruhigt, sie nutzen die Chance aber gerne für einen Flug zur Erde. Dort erforschen sie z.B. die Frage, warum er Himmel blau ist. Dem vielseitigen Autor B. Flessner (vgl. "Zukunft", ID-A 44/16) ist erneut eine spannende und informationsreiche Geschichte gelungen, in der Plutinchen und das Logbuch viel Wissen beisteuern. Attraktives Cover und anschauliche, detailreiche Illustrationen ergänzen den Text.
