Die von der Kritik begeistert aufgenommene Gesamteinspielung der Werke von Heinrich Schütz (zuletzt: Folge 8 - Psalmen Davids, ekz-Nr. 760.917.0, IN-G 44/13, StO groß) wird mit einem weiteren Hauptwerk des Komponisten fortgesetzt, der 1623 entstandenen Auferstehungshistorie. In diesem Werk gelingt Schütz, dem bedeutendsten Komponisten des Frühbarock und dem "Vater der deutschen Musik", eine ungemein intensive musikalische Umsetzung der Auferstehungsgeschichte. Ergänzt wird diese Einspielung mit einigen kleineren Werken. Neben dem Dresdner Kammerchor unter Hans-Christoph Rademann sorgen auch The Sirius Viols unter Hille Perl für einen weiteren Höhepunkt in der Schütz-Edition. Auf dem originalen Titelblatt hieß es so schön, die Musik sei "um die österliche Zeit zu geistlicher Recreation füglich zu gebrauchen". Doch auch darüber hinaus wird diese preiswerte Aufnahme Gültigkeit haben, setzt Rademann doch einmal mehr Maßstäbe mit seiner Interpretation. Obendrein informatives Beiheft mit allen Texten.
