Geburtstag von Jean Paul (1763 Wunsiedel bis 1825 Bayreuth) legt der Berliner Sachbuchautor und Literaturhistoriker Zaremba nach seinen Büchern über Herder (BA 3/03) und Wieland (BA 1/08) eine weitere Biografie eines Pfarrersohnes vor. Seine Lebensorte gliedern chronologisch die Stationen des Lebens und Werkes des äusserst produktiven und bereits zu Lebzeiten sehr erfolgreichen Schriftstellers. Zaremba schreibt kundig und gründlich über diesen "schreibwütigen Wortkünstler aus armen Verhältnissen" für ein gröe︢res, literaturinteressiertes Publikum und macht Lust, Jean Paul wieder oder neu zu lesen.
