Ein Regisseur will einen Film über den Monat August und die Lebensbedingungen in Israel drehen. Teils reflektiert er darüber vor der Videokamera in seiner Wohnung, teils geht er mit der Kamera auf die Straße. Dort wird er ständig nach dem Sinn seines Tuns befragt, beschimpft und zum Aufhören genötigt.
