In this documentary the winner of Turner Classic Movies' 5th Annual Young Composers Competition chosen from the top five contenders is presented, as well as his winning score. The first fifteen minutes introduce the five participants who made it to the final, which it then provides clips of their work for the judges to decide who is most suitable. The second half presents the winner, Michael Picton attempting to write and record the rough track within 73 days, before the actual orchestration recording.
