Rezension(1): "Philip Roth (1933–2018) trat durch seinen Skandalroman Portnoys Beschwerden (1969) in die Öffentlichkeit. Ab den 1970er Jahren verfasste er eine Trilogie um die Figur David Kepesh, einen jüdischen Literaturwissenschaftler, sowie zwei Trilogien und mehrere Einzelromane um die Figur Nathan Zuckerman. 1998 wurde er für Amerikanisches Idyll mit dem Pulitzerpreis ausgezeichnet. Seine literarischen Werke wurden vielfach mit Preisen geehrt und einige seiner Romane hochkarätig verfilmt. Ab 2012 zog er sich von seiner Autorentätigkeit zurück."
