Content:
Am Ende der Weimarer Republik ist Ludwig Bartuschek Mechaniker in den Sperber-Flugzeugwerken, geachtet von den Arbeitern wie von Generaldirektor Dehringer. Der bietet ihm die Ausbildung zum Flugzeugkonstrukteur an und Schutz vor den neuen faschistischen Machthabern, unter der Bedingung, dass er seiner politischen Überzeugung als Kommunist abschwört. Bartuschek lehnt ab und geht in die Illegalität. Nach langem Widerstandskampf gegen Naziregime und Krieg kommt Bartuschek 1944, als Franzose getarnt, erneut ins Sperber-Werk, um dort den Widerstand zu organisieren. Er wird gefasst und ins KZ gebracht. Nach der Befreiung trifft er seinen Sohn Henne wieder. Zusammen wollen beide das Werk wieder aufbauen, aber erst gibt es wichtigere Aufgaben im zerstörten Land…(Icestorm) Die Geschichte des Funkers und Kommunisten Ludwig Bartuscheck aus dem DEFA-Film »Das Lied der Matrosen« von Kurt Maetzig nimmt hier ihre Fortsetzung.
