In this book we intend to analyse, through the comments published by the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo, the tracks left by the collaborators who, during the years 1938 to 1945, interpreted the events of the international field as transformers of the internal reality. In this sense, it is not a matter of studying the facts that marked the Second World War, but of demonstrating how the writers constructed images that have established themselves over time and that are in large measure out of line with the guidelines proposed by the Estado Novo.
