The Chinese Students’ Monthly was the first magazine that was published by Chinese students in the United States from 1906 to 1931. It became the official organ of the enlarged Chinese student organization, counting many important and well-known figures amongst its contributors. The Monthly covered such important fields as education, as well as the social, industrial, agricultural, political, and economical areas which were of importance during this period. The full-text database is searchable via the query mask "Search Primary Sources," above the explanations for the database. Search hits can be narrowed down by using the filter function on the left margin of the screen. Search words or text passages can be read on the scan of the original page. The respective search term is highlighted in colour. There is, however, no print function for single pages.
