"Over the past few years, the Würth Group has commissioned an impressive number of new company buildings, which serve as outstanding examples of industrial architecture in the various countries in which they are to be found. To capture those developments, I asked talented young photographer Andi Schmid to photograph the new buildings. This work is a compilation of the results. [...] The decentralisation policy which is strictly practiced by the whole group is also reflected in its architecture. Würth does not have a central architectural department, responsible for planning new buildings worldwide. On the contrary, every company which is a member of the group is entitled to submit extraordinary building plans, ideally as the result of an architectural competition. In many cases, these plans have been actually implemented. The company buildings in Künzelsau, in France, Austria, Denmark, Norway, Greece, the Netherlands and also in the USA are intended to serve as exemplars of contemporary industrial architecture."
