Willi F. Ramersdorfer (1922–2010) zählt zu den erfolgreichsten Vorarlberger Architekten der Nachkriegszeit. Zusammen mit German Meusburger realisiert er ab 1951 seine Konzepte einer modernen Architektur. So entstehen zunächst zahlreiche Industrie- und Gewerbebauten, Schulen, Kirchen und Wohnhäuser sowie SOS-Kinderdörfer. Nach dem Tod von Meusburger 1973 führt Ramersdorfer das Atelier allein und sehr erfolgreich weiter. Sein Schwerpunkt liegt nun im Bau von Hotels – namentlich in den österreichischen Alpen und im Ausland – und von Einfamilienhäusern, wo er neue Wege des architektonischen Ausdrucks beschreitet. Diese erste Monografie über Ramersdorfers Schaffen dokumentiert sein umfangreiches Werk und stellt seine wichtigsten Bauten mit historischem Plan- und Bildmaterial und mit Texten renommierter Autorinnen und Autoren vor. Ein neuer Bildessay des Fotografen Marc Lins porträtiert das Haus Ramersdorfer in Rankweil (1964) und verdeutlicht die bleibende Qualität seiner Architektur.
