Biographisches: "Namina Forna wurde in Sierra Leone geboren und ist in den 90er-Jahren mit ihrer Familie in die USA ausgewandert. Ihre Heimat besucht sie aber auch heute noch regelmäßig. Sie hat bereits erfolgreich als Drehbuchautorin und Produzentin für Film und Fernsehen gearbeitet. Namina liebt scharfes Essen, schwarze Katzen und wurde schon häufiger dabei gesehen, wie sie sich in einem Einhorn-Kostüm am Taco-Stand angestellt hat. Die Göttinnen von Otera ist ihr Debüt."
