Unveränderte Taschenbuchausgabe des 2010 als Hardcover erschienenen Titels. Das Autorenduo Albrecht Beutelspacher und Marcus Wagner - bereits bekannt durch den Titel "Wie man durch eine Postkarte steigt" - legt nun einen weiteren Band mit mathematischen Knobeleien vor. Über 80 Denksportaufgaben aus den unterschiedlichsten Bereichen sind unterteilt in 10 Kapitel (u.a. "Zahlen und Zählen", "Brüche und Prozente", "Logik", "Geometrisches" oder "Teilbarkeit"). Die meisten Aufgaben beschreiben alltägliche Phänomene, teilweise erscheinen diese etwas abstrakt und hin und wieder nur wenig mathematisch. Aber immer reichen jeweils die Schulmathematik und ein gesunder Menschenverstand zum Lösen der Knobeleien aus. Zu jeder Aufgabe gibt es einen Tipp zum einfacheren Lösen. Die Lösung in hellerem Druck findet sich ebenfalls direkt im Anschluss an die Aufgabe - was oft leider zum Spicken verleitet. Zur Bestandsauffrischung gerne empfohlen neben den Titeln von Heinrich Hemme (u.a "Heureka!", und "100 mathematische Rätsel mit ausführlichen Lösungen". (2 S)
