Biographisches: "T.C. Boyle wurde 1948 in Peekskill, im Hudson Valley, geboren und wuchs in schwierigen Familienverhältnissen auf. Nach ausschweifenden Jugendjahren in der Hippie- und Protestbewegung der 60er Jahre war Boyle Lehrer an der High School in Peekskill und publizierte während dieser Zeit seine ersten Kurzgeschichten in namhaften Zeitschriften. Heute lebt er mit seiner Frau und drei Kindern in Kalifornien. Bis ins Jahr 2012 unterrichtete er an der University of Southern California in Los Angeles 'Creative Writing'. Für seinen 1987 erschienenen Roman World´s End erhielt Boyle den PEN/Faulkner-Preis." Biographisches: "Florian Lukas, 1973 in Ost-Berlin geboren, hat seine Karriere am Theater begonnen, sich dann aber bald einen Namen mit Filmrollen gemacht. Nach den Kinoerfolgen »Absolute Giganten« und »St. Pauli Nacht« (beide 1998) erhielt er bereits erste Auszeichnungen. Für seine Darstellung in »Good Bye, Lenin!« (2003) folgten der Deutsche Filmpreis sowie ein Bambi. In dem preisgekrönten Fernsehmehrteiler »Weissensee« spielt Florian Lukas die Hauptrolle, auch in vielen weiteren Kino- und TV-Produktionen ist er zu sehen. Daneben bestreitet er Lesungen und spricht Hörbücher."
