"The German town Glückstadt is located on the northern bank of the river Elbe approx. 50 km north-west of Hamburg. It was founded in 1614 by the Danish king Christian IV (1548-1648). A Mint was established there in 1619 and lasted until 1716. This book presents a historical overview of the Mint's development and a detailed description of the many Crowns and the few Speciedalers and Ducats minted in Glückstadt during the reign of the Danish king Christian V (1670-1699)."
