"Salto Mortale - Die Geschichte einer Artistenfamilie" ist eine 18-teilige Zirkus-Fernsehserie des damaligen Südwestfunks (SWF) mit dem Schweizer Fernsehen unter der Regie von Michael Braun, die in zwei Staffeln von Januar 1969 bis Juni 1969 (10 Folgen) und von Oktober 1971 bis Januar 1972 (8 Folgen) im Ersten Deutschen Fernsehen (ARD) ausgestrahlt wurde. Autoren waren Heinz Oskar Wuttig und Horst Pillau. Die Titelmusik vom damaligen SWF-Tanzorchesterchef Rolf-Hans Müller entwickelte sich zu einem Klassiker der Zirkusmusik. [de.wikipedia.org]
