Inhalt:
This volume brings together novel analyses of verbal plurality and distributivity. The authors draw on a wide range of new empirical data from languages as diverse as Arabic, Cusco Quechua, European Portuguese, Hausa, Karitiana, Modern Hebrew and Russian. The papers address four issues in particular: the interaction between nominal and verbal plurality, the expression of distributivity by reduplicated numerals and adnominal distributive markers, the variation in the semantics of pluractional markers and the morphological variability of pluractional markers cross-linguistically.
