Series Statement:
Reinholdiana Vol. 2
Content:
In 1792, with the aim of defending Kant's doctrine of freedom, Reinhold placed a novel emphasis on the notion of freedom of will. His definition of freedom of will as the ability to decide for or against the moral law has been a cornerstone of the focus typically placed on this term since early post-Kantian system philosophy. It thus represents a foundation of moral philosophy, if not of philosophy as a whole. The present volume seeks to reinterpret and to discuss this chapter of the post-Kantian discourse on freedom from various perspectives. Marion Heinz und Violetta Stolz, Universität Siegen; Martin Bondeli, Universität Bern, Schweiz.
