Report of the Louisiana Attorney General to the legislature regarding banks that were ordered by the Board of Currency to liquidate and wind up their affairs. Of note, the report addressed the issue of these banks simultaneously liquidating under the Acts of 1842. The report is signed by Thos. J. Semmes. Banks are discussed are Citizen's Bank of Louisiana, the Bank of Louisiana, the New Orleans Canal and Banking Company, and the Louisiana State Bank. The report includes copies of correspondence from R.A. Hunter (President of the Board of Currency) and C.G. Memminger (Secretary, Treasury Department, Confederate States of America)
