John Nathan Hutchins died in 1782. The actual calculator is Andrew Beers. The eclipse predictions, nearly all the astronomical notes, and the calculations with some slight adjustments, duplicate those in other New York state almanacs published under Beers's name for 1801, e.g. Hutchins improved, printed at New York by Duyckinck, and Franklin's legacy, printed at Troy by Moffit
