Inhaltsverzeichnis und Vorwort sind vorhanden, kein Register. Vergleichbar am ehesten mit dem ausführlicheren Rainer Crummenerl: "Versunkene Städte" (BA 8/06). Die Auswahl wirkt bei dem geringen Umfang willkürlich. Doch die Namen der Autorinnen (Toll und Sokolowski haben etliche Kindersachbücher herausgebracht), das Thema und vor allem die opulente Aufmachung werden dafür sorgen, dass das Buch kein Regalhüter bleibt.
