Auf einem mit dem Wappen des II. Kaiserreichs aufgesattelten Eugénie-Dromedar, das von einem in eigentlichem und bildlichem Sinne gehörnten Napoléon III.-Schwein begleitet wird, reiten die Anhänger von Napoléon III. : der General Émile Fleury, der ehemaliger Polizeipräsident Joseph-Marie Piétri, Eugène Rouher, der ehemaliger Polizeipräsident Charlemagne-Émile Maupas und der Herzog von Persigny (Napoléons III.Innenminister). Der Titel spielt auf ein Lied an, das 1807 von Alexandre de Laborde und Hortense de Beauharnais (die Mutter Napoléons III.) gedichtet wurde, und die ägyptische Expedition Napoléons I. verherrlicht. Während des II. Kaiserreichs wurde es zur halbamtlichen Nationalhymne.
