Alper Canigüz' humoristische Komödie kreist um einen Professor, der seine Studenten in Freuds Theorie der Traumdeutung scheinbar vergeblich einführt und den Lebenskünstler Hector Berlioz, der sich mithilfe seines Komplizen Hamit der Geldbeute des Gangsters Hayri Kura ermächtigen will. Dabei sind diese beiden Figuren jeweils als Gestalten der Träume des Ingenieurs Hakan Tuncel angelegt, der beim Psychologieprofessor zur Therapie geht. Alle Partien sind auf dieselbe Beute aus. Leicht grotesk ist die Handlung, die sich auf verschiedenen Erzählebenen abspielt und in einer großen Verwirrung mündet, bei der am Ende niemand mehr weiß, wer träumt und wer wach ist. Dieser Roman ist neben dem 2012 hier besprochenen "Söhne und ihre siechenden Seelen" (ID-A 44/12) das 2. Buch von Alper Canigüz. Das Buch lebt von seinem feinen Humor und einer sehr guten Übersetzung von Monika Demirel. Canigüz ist ein Vertreter einer jungen, modernen und sehr aktiven türkischen Literaturszene. Das Buch lohnt eine Anschaffung und wird in modernen größeren Literaturbeständen sicherlich ausgeliehen. (Ulrich Koch)
