Application of the Radiative Theory of Transfer for Colour Control and Colour Determination General and some approximative solutions of the radiative transfer theory are reported. The advantages of this equation in comparison to classic Kubelka‐Munk‐equations consist in the more detailed description of the dependency of absorption and the dispersion coefficient on the concentration of the colouring matter and the better validity of the additivity for the textil substrate. This is very important for spectrophotometric colour control and recipe calculations. Concrete forms of the phase functions and surface constants of application in practice are given.
