Film und Medien beeinflussen die Alltagswelt von Kindern und Jugendlichen stärker als je zuvor. Gleichzeitig finden sich kaum aktuelle Forschungsansätze zur Filmpädagogik, sodass der vorliegende Band zum Thema "Film" in der Schule eine Lücke schließen kann und erstmalig eine historisch vergleichende Studie zu Lernmitteln und Schulbüchern enthält, deren Inhalte in Hinblick auf die Subjektkonstituierung untersucht werden. Es stellt sich die zentrale Forschungsfrage, wie in Lehrbüchern mit filmpädagogischen Inhalten Schüler*innen und implizit auch Lehrer*innen adressiert und subjektiviert werden. Im theoretischen Teil der Arbeit wird ein Fragenkatalog mit Themenkomplexen, die sich an der Philosophie Michel Foucaults orientieren, entwickelt, der auch als Heuristik methodisch für weitere filmpädagogische Studien genutzt werden kann. Im empirischen Teil der Arbeit werden aus der Diskursanalyse des Schulbuchmaterials insgesamt fünf inhaltliche Dimensionen herausgearbeitet, anhand derer sich die Konstituierung und Positionierung der Subjekte nachvollziehen und strukturieren lassen und mit deren Hilfe die impliziten Subjektkonzepte aus den Lernmedien rekonstruierbar sind. Die Arbeit spezifiziert Althussers Konzept der Anrufung und Foucaults Überlegungen zur Subjekttheorie auf das Thema "Film" in der Schulpädagogik und verhilft zu einer handhabbaren, methodischen Anwendung der philosophischen Ansätze
