Zwei junge Binnenschiffer nehmen eine von der Liebe und vom Leben enttäuschte junge Frau an Bord ihres Schleppers und überreden sie, mit auf große Fahrt zu gehen. Beide verlieben sich in ihren reizvollen Passagier, aber ihre Freundschaft hält der Belastungsprobe stand, und nachdem die Wahl gefallen ist, setzen die drei einmütig ihre Reise fort. Eine kleine alltägliche Geschichte mit Poesie, Realismus, viel Atmosphäre und einem Schuß Humor, unprätentiös und präzise inszeniert. In den letzten Tagen des "Dritten Reichs" unter primitiven Bedingungen entstanden, die sensible Kamera macht aus der Not eine Tugend und läßt die karge Landschaft eine tragende Rolle spielen. - Ab 12.
