Watch the exciting finale of the 2005 Prix de Lausanne, an international competition for young dancers, filmed live at the Théâtre de Beaulieu in Lausanne, Switzerland! Founded in 1973, the Prix de Lausanne is an annual competition that gives young dancers from around the world the opportunity to reveal their exceptional talents before a jury of world-renowned dance personalities. Winners receive scholarships to the most prestigious international schools and companies, setting them on the path toward a successful career. Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux, artistic director of the North Carolina Dance Company, headed the 2005 competition jury, which selected eleven young dancers for the final round. Scholarship winners included Yu Jin Kim, Sherlin Ndudi, Seo Hye Han, Karen Azatyan, Jin Young Won, and Adeline Kaiser
