McIntyre diskutiert wissenschaftstheoretische Überlegungen K. Poppers und Th. Kuhns, legt dar wie die wissenschaftliche Grundhaltung umgesetzt wird, wie sie die moderne Medizin veränderte und lässt auch Betrug, Fehlschläge und Pseudowissenschaften wie Intelligent Design, Kreationismus oder Klimawandelleugnung nicht aus. Er schliesst mit Gedanken zur Anwendung der wissenschaftlichen Grundhaltung in den Sozialwissenschaften. - In Zeiten von Fake News, Verschwörungstheorien und ideologiegetriebenen Pseudowissenschaftlern ein wichtiger Beitrag zur Aufklärung.
