    Inhalt: Die britische Journalistin und aktive Feministin legt in thematisch gegliederter, deutscher Erstausgabe dar, dass bei fast allen wissenschaftlichen Datenerhebungen immer nur das männliche Muster als Normalmass zugrunde gelegt und dabei die weibliche Perspektive bisher vergessen oder als nicht nötig erachtet wurde. "Frauen sind hochgradig sichtbar, wenn sie als das untergeordnete Geschlecht behandelt werden, aber unsichtbar, wenn es wirklich zählt - wenn es darum geht sichtbar, gezählt, also wissenschaftlich erfasst zu werden." Die Autorin weist in zahlreichen Beispielen aus Europa, USA, Asien für Arbeitsleben, Stadt- und Verkehrsplanung, Medizin, Wohnungsbau, Flüchtlingsbetreuung usw. nach, dass hierbei die existenziellen Bedarfe der Frauen völlig ausgeblendet werden. Von der Schliessung der geschlechtsspezifischen Datenlücke würden ihrer Meinung nach alle profitieren. Dieser Band mit über 1.000 Quellen eignet sich ebenso für Unterricht in Sekundarstufe II. (1 S)
