Es wird die Vegetation der Kalkmagerrasen des östlichen und westlichen Meißner-Vorlands (Nordhessen) beschrieben. Die behandelten Pflanzengesellschaften und deren Untereinheiten lassen sich mit zunehmender Bodenentwicklung und dem damit günstigeren Wasser- und Nährstoffhaushalt in eine ökologische Reihe stellen. Dabei wird die floristische und ökologische Zwischenstellung des Gentiano-Koelerietum zwischen dem Saxifrago-Poetum compressae (Alysso-Sedion) und dem Arrhenatheretum herausgestellt. ...

The vegetation of limestone grassland is described in the area of the eastern and western foothills of the Meissner Mountain (North of Hessen, central Germany). It was found that the plant communities and their subunits can be arranged in an ecological sequence that corresponds to depth of soil and thus to the water supply of the stands. The intermediate position of the Gentiano-Koelerietum with regard to ecological conditions and floristic composition, between calcareous rock communities (Saxifrago-Poetum compressae) and meadows (Arrhenatheretum), is shown. ...
