Die Autorin beschäftigt sich mit dem Thema der Reserveursachen im Schadensrecht. Nach einer Auseinandersetzung mit der Frage, ob die conditio-sine-qua-non-Theorie für das Schadensrecht eine geeignete Kausalitätstheorie darstellt, widmet sie sich der kontrafaktischen Kausalitätstheorie des Philosophen David Lewis und der Methodik der "Counterfactuals", anhand derer in den Geschichts- und Politikwissenschaften hypothetische Kausalverläufe untersucht werden. Mithilfe dieses interdisziplinären Ansatzes spricht sich die Autorin letztendlich dafür aus, Reserveursachen im Schadensrecht zu berücksichtigen
